These are video projects that I completed during my four years at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. They aren’t quite as polished as what I’ve completed in more recent years, but I am extremely proud of them nonetheless!

When the World Closed: A Student Documentary about a Beloved Movie Theater in Kearney, Nebraska

I completed “When the World Closed” as part of the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Summer Student Research Program. It was filmed and edited entirely by me, with input from my mentor, Jacob Rosdail. This documentary showed at the 2021 Omaha Film Festival, where it was an honorable mention in the Nebraska Shorts category.

Untitled Farm Film 2020: A Quiet Introspective about Life on a Pig Farm, Filmed During COVID-19

This was one of the last video assignments I completed for a class (JMC-427: Advanced Video). “Untitled Farm Film 2020” is a brief glimpse into the world from which I come – a small family-owned farm in rural Nebraska.

The Antelope: UNK’s Student Newspaper Organization

I served as the Director of Video for The Antelope (UNK’s student newspaper) from September 2020 to May 2022. During my tenure I essentially built a video program from the ground up; the only video content being produced for the paper was through a semi-affiliated course, JMC-343: Video at the Antelope. I introduced a video counterpart for the paper’s long-running Lopers Speak segment and produced numerous short news pieces on campus events.
